Gordon Room, G34, Ground Floor, Senate House, Malet Street, London WC1E 7HU

This event is generously supported by the Institute of Advanced Study at the University of Warwick.

This half-day workshop will explore research across languages as an embodied, sensory process. Scholars working across a range of contexts such as film, food, performance, and photography, will focus particularly on questions of positionality and the role the senses play in our experience of the languages and cultures we research.

We will explore the opportunities and challenges of carrying out projects – and sharing findings – with an ethnographically-informed attention to the self and the senses.
