29 September – 8 October 2017: What’s Left? A Century in Revolution, a special programme of screenings, talks and discussion, co-curated by Durham’s OWRI team and presented at the Tyneside Cinema in Newcastle.

14-16 September 2017: Transnational Russian Studies, international symposium at Durham University.

21-30 July 2017: ‘I am waiting for you’, a play on Arab women’s experiences of cancer, written by Abir Hamdar, based on interviews with female cancer patients, performed at the Madina Theater in Beirut, Lebanon. See further details.
